Beg Pardon, But

Pimp My Lent/Day45

The Prompt:

From Pam Dougherty…

“The glass is pretty much always half full.”

,

.

The Product:

.

Dear God

Please note that

I am not to blame here

It’s not my fault that I’m this way

I never asked for smoke-colored glasses

.

.

Dear Lord

Please note that

I am this way only

Because I was born this way

And whose fault it that

hmmm

.

.

Dear God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

Please note that

There are no women on your list

.

.

Dear Divine Goodness

My dog collapsed and died right in front of me

And myself at such a tender age

(The Dog was quite old)

.

.

Dear Heavenly Father

Please note that

I never asked to be born

.

.

Dear Creator of All Things

Please note that

My husband forgot to wake me

The car wouldn’t start

I had a terrible headache

My watch broke

My phone died

The inspection sticker was expired

I missed the bus

I ate it because it was my birthday

I have a doctor’s note

I developed a fever

The phone rang

The bathroom was filthy

Nobody remembered to take the garbage to the alley

The cat threw up on the rug

I may be coming down with something

My back went out

There was a glitch in the system

Nobody told me that was spiked

I had an allergic reaction

The directions were confusing

I never had lessons as a child

I thought that it was Thursday

.

.

.

Dear Abba

Please note that I am here now

waiting                           quietly

.
