Prayer for a January Morning

Prayer for a January Morning

I am scared

God

Slept hard woke up exhausted

spent

alone but not alone

Thank you for the quiet center

this space where you are

I am sorry

that it takes a bulldozer a hoist a hostage negotiator a snake wrangler and sixteen mules

to get me back here
